DMCA Copyright Policy

Blaron respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the people who use its services to do the same. This page explains how to report material you believe infringes your copyright, how to respond if your material was removed, and how we handle repeat infringement.

Designated copyright agent

Blaron has registered a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement. Send all copyright notices to the agent below. This address is for copyright matters only; for anything else please use [email protected], since notices sent elsewhere may not be processed.

Which services this covers

Blaron operates services that store material at the direction of their users, including deepstorage.dev, a free file storage and streaming service where people upload their own files. This policy applies to those services. The blaron.com website itself does not host user-uploaded content; it is published by Blaron, which is the service provider named in the registration above.

How to file a notice of claimed infringement

To be effective under Section 512(c)(3) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, your written notice must include all of the following. Incomplete notices may delay our response, and we may ask you to supply anything that is missing.

What happens after we receive a notice

When we receive a notice that substantially complies with the requirements above, we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified. Where we can reasonably do so, we notify the affected user, give them a copy of the notice, and tell them how to submit a counter-notification. We may also record the notice against that account for the purposes of the repeat infringer policy below.

How to file a counter-notification

If your material was removed or disabled and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the agent above. Under Section 512(g)(3) it must include all of the following.

What happens after a counter-notification

We forward valid counter-notifications to the party who submitted the original notice and tell them that we intend to restore the material. Unless that party notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the material between ten and fourteen business days after receiving your counter-notification.

Repeat infringer policy

In accordance with Section 512(i) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Blaron has adopted and reasonably implements a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We assess each situation on its facts, taking into account the number and nature of the notices received, whether a valid counter-notification was submitted, and whether the account shows a pattern of infringing use. Termination may include removal of stored material and permanent loss of access to the service.

Misrepresentations

Section 512(f) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act provides that anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Please be sure of your rights before you send a notice or a counter-notification.
